Originals Brand Book
The brief was to create a trade ‘Brand Book’ that would communicate the Clarks Originals truths, including elements of the brand’s origins, the iconic status of its key styles and its evolution as a relevant brand in today’s competitive dress casual and athleisure footwear market. Paired back visual and copy reflect the minimalist approach of the Clarks Originals design philosophy - the Clarks Desert Boot, for example, consists of just a handful of component parts - while the opposing content of headlines, copy and photography helps to communicate the brand’s ‘then and now’ story. Having positioned Clarks Originals with an overview in the opening spreads, the ‘Brand Book’ concludes with an introduction to the Autumn/Winter 2016 seasonal story, treated in the same graphic style.
