Celebrating the enigmatic nature of the product itself, we developed a concept drawing inspiration from the Bletchley park code-breakers.The outer box and label mimics the typographic style of the ‘barrels’ that Turing invented to crack the enigma code, whilst introducing a minimal aesthetic and a black bottle to further conceal the liquid. The supporting campaign imagery also references this era of the Great British code-breaker.
The consumer is challenged to unlock the taste, and can engage with an online platform that ‘gamifies’ the tasting experience. Consumers with an accurate profiling score are entered into a competition to win a personal tour and tutorial with Master Distiller Alan Winchester at The Glenlivet distillery.
